The lazy days of summer have become quite a slow time for online auction sales. Most of the year we enjoy a presence on eBay, Half.com, Amazon, Yahoo and Books By Bid among others. We put a lot of time and effort into our online listings so during the slow bookselling days of June, July and August, we put our energies into our physical store.

When we begin listing on the online auction and fixed-price venues again in September, you'll find us using the perfectly logical online ID dad_of_monster.

Okay, we'll explain. But remember, you're the one who asked. Harkening back to the days when online buying and selling was in its infancy, at least for us, at the moment we were trying to come up with a suitable and available ID, our oldest cat Monster (now nineteen!) was as usual reminding me of what a rotten excuse for a parent I was for not immediately tending to one of his many transient hungers. In apologizing for my many cat parent deficiencies, we found ourselves typing many things in the ID window (Monster Is A Brat, Monster Leave Me Alone, Death Is Headed Your Way) and somehow dad_of_monster stuck. Who knew online commerce would play such a lasting role in our evolving business plan? And, rather than making it difficult for our highly valued repeat customers to find us, we've decided to remain dad_of_monster both figuratively and literally.
